Girl Talk
So we've been following all things Girl Talk on the Basement Tapes front. Cinematographer Mark Ellam (not me...) got to film with Gregg at the Coachella valley music festival. Apparently things got a little out of hand, fans stormed the stage, including Paris Hilton in her last hurrah before being sent off to jail. Haven't seen the footage cuz Mark is still in LA but apparently it brings a grin.
So how Open Source can we get? The easiest way I could think of to get people remixing was to place the entire edit of the film online, Final Cut Pro scenes and all. Unforutnately this would take many more gigawhops than we have, so instead we're going to do it scene by scene and make a bit of a contest out of it. The first contests are the Girl Talk (see? obsessed!) and Remix Rebels contests. You can check them both in the Create section. Now get busy!
