Trailer / newest version

So - I've started editing works in that have been submitted and stuff collected from Youtube, in addition to material that I've shot myself for the film. I'm going to start to try and do this weekly. This is a 3 minute "trailer" but I like to think of it as the current direction of the film. Comments, please!

IBM's suggestion

^IBM gives their opinion as to what media companies should do and yes they suggest loosening copyright to allow mashups. I think you should take a look at this brett, you can show in your documentry that even big buisnesses like IBM are supporting a change in media.

Interview

On April 26th, 2007 Anonymous says:

Mr. Gaylor

I´m sorry to use this comments section to get to you, but since I couldn´t find your e-mail anywhere on the Internet (even with Google´s help...), I had to do it here.

I am a brazilian journalist, and I have a small independent magazine (licensed on Creative Commons) and a blog (www.musicismyhothotsex.blogspot.com). I´ve read about your work on an article on Girltalk, and the concept of Open Source Cinema immediately attracted my atention. I would like to know if I can do an e-mail interview with you, on topics such as music, copyrights, videomaking and videoblogs.

If you´re interested and have some time to answer me, could you contact me at amauri [dot] gonzo [at] gmail [dot] com ?

Thanks for your atention, and sorry for all this bad english.

Brett is afraid of spam so much that he doesn't even like to SAY his email out loud. He is a big wimp. Brett once gave all his money to a Nigerian bank manager who had won the UK lottery because he his pen1s was too small.

here you go, spammers:

Your trailer is up there in the industry standard.

matthanson's picture

hey brett, congrats on new format website. this trailer is good, but I think the end is stronger. think it should be rejigged.

I would recommend you try an edit starting on yourself: intro saying what you are doing, then go into a 'greatest hits' mashups, then cover the other areas - maybe segue between sections through concert/event footage.

cheers, matt
